Jessie J
Jessica Ellen Cornish (also known as Jessie J) is an English music producer and a singer. Jessie gained fame early for her distinct style of music, which blends soul and hip-hop, pop and electropop. She has received awards like the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award and the BBC's Sound of 2011 as well being nominated for numerous awards. She began her career in the age of 11, when she was selected for the show 'Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. She then joined the National Youth Music Theater and participated in their 2002 production"The Late Sleepers,". The year 2011, when she was famous with the release of her debut album "Who You Are'. The album was a huge success from the beginning. In just the first week there were 105,000 copies sold in the UK as well as 34,000 in the US. It topped the charts at no. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on US Billboard 200. Jessie has also been known for her work in the field of charity and has been involved with charities including 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
